We cook a lot of whole chicken. Its a pain using a thermometer and waiting for it to register. Meanwhile, all of the hair on your arms is being singed off from the overwhelming heat! But Lord knows, you don't want to take it out and start slicing and find out its not done. It is not dishwasher safe. But that's no biggie, just rinse it off and wipe it down.
