As my essential oils collection grows, I have been discovering that there is SO much more to learn!


I've been reading about creating roll on mixtures for anxiety, motion sickness, and SO much more! 

My 5 year old has terrible motion sickness issues! We have to keep bags in the van "just incase"! Yeah, it's THAT bad!


This two pack of frosted glass roll on bottles are perfect! They are compact - who has room for anything extra! The metal balls fit tight to prevent any leakage. If it is flipped upside down, the ball creates a seal - how great is that!? Since it's metal, there is no concern about the oils breaking down from those cheapy plastic roller balls!

Diffuser = Happy Mommy!

I have diffusers set up all over the house. I love the way the house smells when they are going. I truly notice a difference in my mood when they are filling the house will happy oils!

My diffuser in my bedroom was recently cleaned by someone and that someone broke it. It is one of the most important diffusers! I rely on the relaxing lavender oil to drift into happy sleepy time.


This cool mist aromatherapy diffuser has been amazing! I have had it for a few months and I love everything about it! I love the look of it. It is very "spa" looking to me.

I like that it holds nearly twice as much as any of my other diffusers! That means less fill time and more enjoying! The auto shut off feature prevents it from running out of water and burning up! It can be put on 1, 3, or 6 hours as well as continuous use.

I love the mood LED light! It is intoxicating at night! The colors fade in from one to the next. I leave it on all the time and find myself staring at it lost in my thoughts. It is really relaxing!

Awesome EO storage box!

It is a three tier box with the top two sections for small essential oil bottles. Great box for storing your EO's and rollers. I have been storing my oils in a cardboard box. It was time to upgrade since my collection was growing. Having this storage box means I can keep my oils together, out of the suns harmful rays.

The box itself is a great size. It reminds me a little bit of a makeup caboodle. Weight wise it's a bit heavy so I doubt this is something you would want to use if you're relocating your oils often. It comes in an unfinished wood which I prefer because I have some neat ideas on how to finish it to my taste. The wood has been sanded to a soft texture. 

WOW! What a great essential oil box! 

The hardware on the box is great. It will hold up well to daily use and it's easy to change out should I feel so inclined.

The storage compartments are great! I love having my oils separated and they are perfect for a 10ml bottle. The top two sections have wood dividers for your bottles and the wood pieces can be removed if you wish. I have a lot of the larger bottles. I like that the insert that separates the oils is removable. I took them all out of the middle section for my taller bottles. It is working perfectly for me.

WOW what a great essential oil storage box! 

The bottom pull out drawer is made for roller ball bottles of essential oil blends and actually can be removed from the box. The wood dividers in this bottom section do not come out- just the drawer itself. 

They've also included a disc of essential oil information and 25 pipettes for making essential oil blends. There were supposed to be stickers for the bottle tops but my package of stickers was missing. I'm sure the kind sellers will send it along in yours.

Rich and Magical Scent!

I didn't know much about Frankincense, I've heard of it, I knew it is very popular, but had no clue what it really was or what it was used for.

I learned that Frankincense was one of the gifts given by the three wise men to the baby Jesus. As soon as I read it, I remembered! You too?

It has a slightly fruity aroma and is very calming and relaxing.

In aromatherapy, it can be inhaled or used in a diffuser. It has been proven to aid with anxiety, anger and stress.

Additionally, it can also be used for oral health. By simply mixing it with baking soda, you'll have an effective toothpaste that will fight bad breath, toothaches, cavities, mouth sores and more!

Lavender Oil Benefits are so wonderful!

The first essential oil I learned about was Lavender. I think it must be the most common oil. I started using it for relaxation and as a sleep aide.

The fact is, there are a TON of other things to use Lavender to treat.

Bee Sting or Insect Bite

• apply a few drops of lavender oil on the area to stop the itching and reduce swelling

Cuts

• apply a drop of lavender oil on the cut. It will stop the bleeding, clean the wound and kill bacteria

Motion Sickness

• Apply a drop of lavender behind the ears on around the navel

Stop a Bloody Nose

• Put lavender oil on a tissue and wrap it around a small chip of ice. Place the chip under the middle of the upper lip to the base of the nose. Leave it there as long as possible or until the bleeding stops. Be sure not to freeze the lip or gum.

Hay Fever

• Rubbing a drop of lavender oil between your palms and inhaling deeply will alleviate the symptoms.

Oh, the many wonders of Oregano Essential Oil!

I am learning and have a lot more to learn about essential oils, but I am continually surprised by the benefits of each oil.

I did not expect Oregano essential oil to have many health benefits. I was wrong!

By soaking your feet in warm water with a few teaspoons of oregano oil you can treat foot or nail fungus! No time to soak?  Just mix it will a carrier oil and massage the mixture in to your feet.

This is one I hope I don't need, but with winter on its way, I probably will need it. Got a cold? Put a few drops of oregano oil in a pot of steaming water. Inhale the steam to combat anything internal and remove that cold!

This goes along with the cold thing. I should do this now! Bolster your immune system with 100% oregano oil!

Peppermint oil is Wonderful!

Peppermint oil is fast becoming one of my favorites! With the holidays and cooler weather around the corner, the smell of peppermint in the house is perfect!

I have recently learned that peppermint oil has a lot of unique uses. 

One that we are currently taking advantage of is the mouse repellent factor! With the nights getting cooler the little critters are looking for shelter. Mixing 10 drops of peppermint oil with water and spraying doorways and windowsills the little critters are forced away. 

The peppermint can also be soaked in cotton balls and placed at doorways to repels them.

SO Relaxing!!

Stress has a huge effect on so many aspects of our health.

Outstanding Storage box for Essential Oils!

My essential oils have gotten a bit out of control. I needed some way to store and organize them.

This box holds 52 of the small oil bottles and also 6 of the bottles with the roller ball lids.

It is incredibly well made! The slots are high quality pine plywood. The box is 11x3x11 with mitered corners. The top edges are rounded giving it a beautiful finished look.


The hinges and latch are top quality and certainly made to last! 

I am amazed at the quality of this box. It definitely exceeded my expectations!

The box is tall enough to accommodate the larger bottles with the droppers. I would love to see a change made to allow for a row or two to be removable to provide the option for those bottles.

High Quality Helichrysum Essential Oil

I am very happy with all of the oils that I have used from New York Biology.

It is extremely difficult to find Helichrysum in therapeutic grade due to its sensitivity to environmental changes.

This contains 32% Neryl acetate, I have learned to look for a percentage between 24% - 50%. This is a very high quality oil!

This awesome oil is used to calm nerves, lift mood, reduce stress, improve mental clarity and alertness, heal and regenerate skin and even as a disinfectant. 

This bright yellow evergreen plant's extract has been heavily studied because its thought to contain some of the strongest antioxidant properties. 

SKIN

• Combine Helichrysum with coconut oil and use it on scars, wrinkles, bruises, burns, hives, eczema, an psoriasis. Check out the results of this study in the Journal of Antimicrobial Agents from 2001.

IT has been found to stimulate new skin cell growth; therefore, its great to accellerate the healing process of many skin conditions.

DIY Recipes:

I use it in a diffuser but it can also be directly inhaled or added to a bath. 

Helichrysum Sugar Scrub - Stretch Mark Treatment

• 2 ounces of organic, unbleached sugar or brown sugar
• 10 drops of helichrysum
• 8 drops of patchouli essential oil
• 1 tablespoon of rosehip essential oil
• 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice

Mix vigorously and apply twice a day. If it starts to dry, add more rosehip.

Aromatherapy on the go!

I love aromatherapy, I always have my diffuser going in the house.
