Not just a desk lamp!!

Can you keep a secret? My 5 year old is afraid of the dark.

He doesn't want anyone to know. Its so cute and pitiful. The only way I figured it out was one night it had gotten darker than usual by the time they were getting to bed. I heard him sobbing. Literally, sobbing in his bed. It was heartbreaking! He wouldn't tell me what was wrong. I wracked my brain. I felt so helpless.

Then it happened again a week later. Exactly the same situation and the same reaction. I got him a flashlight and turned on the hall light. He was able to settle down and get to sleep. Poor baby!
