When I applied it to my face I was surprised at how much it burned. I did not take the time to do a test area. Not a good idea! I washed it off and didn't have any issues afterwards.
I gave it to a friend to try out since my skin was not going to tolerate it.
She has noticed a considerable difference. Overall her skin is much more even toned. She has been using it each evening for a few weeks. She didn't experience any negative results!
