Super Easy way to Foster independence!

Responsibility  is one of the most important lessons we can teach our children. Its just SO hard! It takes consistency and sometimes arguing. It can be really exhausting for us parents.
I have found that keeping things fresh makes it more fun for everyone.
This responsibility chart is perfect for our kids.
It is bright and colorful, which makes me more excited to use it.
The board is set up for up to three children. I may put myself on there too, just to show them that I have responsibilities too and I hold myself accountable just like them.
There are a TON of magnets with typical chores already on them. Things like take care of pets, put away laundry. There are also several blank magnets to create your own chore.
The kids get to choose the reward for each week. The provided options are gifts, food, ice cream, movies and playground. I love that the reward is chosen by them and its simple to change it up each week.
My boys are excited to place the magnets on the chart each day as they complete their chores. They are quick to point out if the other hasn't done something, of course.

Soap Making CAN be easy!

My interest in essential oils has unlocked a whole world of awesome things that I can make with them.
I have been wanting to try making soap.
These silicone molds are absolutely perfect. They are a great size and shape.
The simple shape makes popping out the finished soap simple.
I started with castile soap because I read its the easiest so I figured it would be the best to start out with.

Since there are two molds, I am using the other one for baking. We made some delicious brownies. The molds are perfect for single serve cuteness. We topped ours with ice cream.

Start your day with a KICK!

This is a huge bag of tea!! I was shocked at just how much 16 ounces of tea really is, this bag makes 225 cups of amazing tea!
There are a ton of options available to enjoy this tea. My favorite is over ice with sugar or honey. YUM. It is a very bold tasting tea. You can also serve it hot and with or without milk.
I have been drinking tea bag tea exclusively. This is my first experience with loose leaf tea. There is a huge difference. There was a party in my mouth! 
This is not a tea for enjoying before heading to bed!
This is tea is a high caffeine brew. Just what some of us need in the morning. 
You can adjust the strength by allowing the leaves to steep for a shorter or longer period depending on your taste.

A Great Little Sharpener!

Schools starting so we are working hard to get everything in order for a great year.
I ordered this battery operated pencil sharpener for my boys. They need something that will sharpen the pencils reasonably. What I mean by that is that they will stand and shove a pencil in a sharpener until its just metal and eraser. That is not good.
This is a small sharpener is great because it does the job and isn't over powerful.
We have sharpened several dozen pencils and it is still going! 
I does require 4 AA batteries and they are not included.
The little shavings area is easy to open. Be sure to do it over a trashcan because it will spill everywhere.

Martha has NOTHIN' on me!

This little gadget is a 4 in 1 peeler. With this one peeler, I perform your standard peel and cut shoestring potatoes as well as slice cheese and shred chocolate or cheese. Take THAT Martha Stewart!
I can't imagine needing any other blades! 
I am surprised at how easily the blades come off of this peeler. There is a little lock on the side, just flip it up and switch the blades and slide the lock back down. The blades are CRAZY sharp! Obviously, use caution.
I love that the entire thing is dishwasher safe. It does come with a cleaning brush, which works really well.

My Bamboo just MIGHT have a chance!

I have a bamboo plant. I do not have a green thumb. The dear sweet person that gave me the bamboo plant was, clearly, unaware that it would not survive.
Don't get me wrong, I have tried. Okay, my husband has tried to keep it alive. 
You have the spritz these plants. Did you know that? I didn't!
When I saw this sprayer, I knew that it held the power to bring that plant back from the brink!
This sprayer is really awesome! Just one pump and push the trigger! Its great!

Mommy isn't going to Share!

Now this is a marker set that I will be keeping for myself! Thats right, no sharing!
I haven't even let my boys know that I got them. I'm a bad mom, huh?
These markers are SO much more than just markers!
For starters, they come in their own canvas case with a handle. Hey, don't laugh! I love that I can just put them back in, there aren't little slots that I have to deal with, its nice and simple!
