Great Looking Watch Just in Time for Father's Day!!

I got this watch for my husband. It is really nice looking. The leather band is black with an adjustable buckle clasp. It is lightweight and comfortable. The display is large and easy to read with a black face and large silver roman numerals.

Its a nice watch and since the band is dark and matches nearly everything.

It came in a nice gift box. The watch was wrapped around a little satin covered pillow.  The packaging made it great for a gift, just wrap it and go!

The watch is waterproof up to 99 feet.

My husband has been wearing it daily for a couple of weeks. It keeps great time and shows no wear at this point.

Have you heard of TestingMom.com?

If you haven't heard of TestingMom.com I am excited to tell you all about it!!

My boys and I have been learning all of the games that are part of the IQ Fun Pack. There are TONS of different games. 

When  I opened the board game, I have to admit, I was overwhelmed!

I looked through everything and then headed to the website for guidance. Luckily, Karen Quinn, the co-founder, has a short tutorial for every game. Its fabulous! She explains exactly how to introduce and play each game. 

Before we could start playing, I was tasked with cutting out all of the playing pieces. There are TONS! Karen explains that the purpose of the parents cutting the pieces is to help us familiarize ourselves with each piece prior to introducing our kiddos. Okay, I have to admit, that's smart!

Over the summer break, I will be working with Liam, he will be entering Kindergarten in August. I will be posting videos and updates about each of the games to let you know what has been great and what hasn't.

I can tell you, Liam LOVES the space babies!  

The premise of the game is that we are teaching the space babies all about earth and what earth children know. It is super cute and a great way to encourage the kids to learn while thinking they are teaching! For us this works great. Liam gets aggravated when I am teaching him anything new. This is a genuinely fun way to introduce new concepts.


Karen Quinn is a best selling author. Her son was struggling with hearing problems which lead doctors to determine that he would never function in a regular classroom. With her determination her son was admired to a competitive private school and placed in honors classes.

In 2010, Karen met Michael McCurdy, one of the most popular "daddy bloggers" in New York City. He had become frustrated with the lack of information available to parents regarding school selection and testing.

Together they worked to developed an internet site that would provide parents with the tools and knowledge we need to help our children become confident and successful students.

Awesome remote controlled lights!

This set of 33 ft LED lights was just what I was looking for to complete my boys' city scape mural.

It looks amazing! 

We outlined each of the buildings in the horizon. We just used pushpins to each corner and turned the strand up or down depending on what we needed. They are incredibly easy to work with.

They love it! 

The remote controls the intensity of the lights. We keep them on the dimmest setting and leave them on all the time. They do go really bright and also have a strobe setting. 

My only complaint is that there is about a 3 foot section that doesn't work. I emailed the company about two weeks ago and have not gotten a response.

Awesome backseat organizer with tablet holder!

My 5 year old loves to watch his tablet in the car, problem is, he gets carsick if he looks down for too long.

I am so glad that we found this seat organizer that holds his tablet! He is able to face forward and watch his tablet without getting nauseous. 

This organizer has a clear touch screen window that accommodates up to a 10.1" tablet. It even has an access point on each side for headphones.      

Everything has a place!

Installation was simple. There is a strap that fastens around the headrest and one around the lower seat. The straps and buckles are out of site. I like that it fits snug against the seat so there is no concern for them getting snagged on it.

There are tons of storage pockets. Pockets for two drinks. Large Velcro close pockets for books and crayons. Those are the things my kids like to have in the car that tend to drive me nuts because the end up everywhere!

Homemade notebook = Perfection

I love having a small notebook nearby at all times. You never know when a brilliant idea will strike!

These little notebooks are perfect to stick in your purse. The package comes with three journals with a fabric cover.

Amazing Uses of Raw Activated Charcoal Powder

You are probably thinking, "raw activated charcoal powder, why would I want that?" Right? Well I was shocked to learn about the benefits!!

Buckle up and get ready to be amazed! 

WHITER TEETH

First off, we ALL want whiter teeth! This stuff actually whitens your teeth by removing the stains and it even freshens your breath! Just sprinkle a bit on your toothbrush and brush away. Rinse well and smile!

It helps to draw out toxins from your teeth. Just mix the powder with water into a thick paste. Put it between two pieces of gauze. Bite down so that the paste surrounds the sore tooth. After a few minutes rinse with water.

By combining it with coconut oil it creates a facial mask to smooth your skin, clean those pores and tighten your skin! Use the same mixture to treat insect bites and bee stings! Need to treat a burn? Use that same mixture!
