Candle Making? Anyone?

I have been wanting to try making my own candles. Is that weird? We burn a lot of candles and they can get expensive! I have a ton of essential oils, so I thought, how hard can it be?


I got a starter kit at a hobby store with a pouring pot and wax. I found this mold on Amazon, it even includes wicks!

It is really easy to use. I read that the wicks can be tricky to keep in place. This mold keeps it from moving. Just feed the wick though the bottom and up to the top. Secure it with something, I used a pencil. All that is left is to fill 'er up!
